The BOA closure system is a smart and patented system to pull on or out your safety shoes or boots. Classic laces are replaced by stainless steel wires, connected to a turning knob. This knob is used to tighten, loosen and snapping your laces into place.
Do BOA systems break?
In the rare event that your Boa Lace breaks (we experience less than 5% of our laces returned because of breakage) you can, as you would with a traditional lace, tie it in a knot.

Are BOA boots worth it?
BOA is super convenient, feels a little stiffer and is easy to keep tight all day. If you want to adjust the upper and lower part of the boot separately, laces or a dual BOA system is the way to go. Hybrid-BOA is a great compromise between the two.
Are BOA snowboard boots worth it?
Not at all, when used properly, they have been the most reliable and absolute best thing about snowboarding boots to have come. Everything about BOA is conducive to the proper operation and functionality of a snowboarding boot, not to mention the added comfort and ease of use.
Are double BOAs worth?
Dual BOAs are nice and make good boots, but are usually not on cheap boots, you aren’t just paying for dual boa usually you are paying for a better boot too. Also, laces still work great, and are always an option.
